Woah! Two weeks worth of updates!
So, the Sunday before last (August 30th).
Who: Heather and Graham
What: I worked on Erin’s “Little Red Cap” and Graham did some other stuff that I don’t remember. We both mink oiled our sweet-ass Son of Sandlar boots.
Eats: Pizza for Graham, plain chicken wings for me. Unless I made that up because honestly I don’t remember.
Watched: The Tudors! Neither one of us has seen this show, but thanks to NetFlix now we can. Someone described it to us as “kings and soft-core porn”. I am here to tell you that this description totally apt. Lots of nipples.
This week’s craft night was moved to Monday to reflect the holiday and the fact that we were playing The Beatles Rock Band all night on Sunday (Sept. 6th). You did read that right, getting my copy early FTW.
Who: Graham, Heather, Laura
What: I finished A’s 2008 Christmas present (which she will now be given for 2009 instead), worked on an amigurumi Redcap (carnivorous fairy), worked on Erin’s “Little Red Cap”, and cast on Presents Knits “Dandy Scarf”. I am making this with a heavier weight cotton yarn because I love the shape and think it will look awesome in Mirasol’s Hapi. I know the drape won’t be the same but I’m cool with that.
Laura finished crocheting a scarf she’d been working on for something like 4 years. She then started a crocheted headband. I completely respect the fact that she works without patterns. I am too chicken for that when I crochet. I’m going to teach her the little bit she needs to know to get to amigurumi.
Graham virtually crafted in WoW. He needs a good light to be able to paint at the new place. The existing lighting just isn’t bright enough.
Füd: We ordered from a new Indian place Passage to India . Graham and I shared baingan bhartha and the best aloo paratha I have ever eaten. It was so freakin’ good! The baingan bhartha was super fresh and yummy. We got it medium spicy level, which was spicier than other places and just about at my tolerance level. Laura got vegetable korma and naan. As far as I know she enjoyed it.
TV: We caught up on the last two weeks of “Project Runway”, watched some reruns of “How I Met Your Mother”, and finished an episode of “Being Human” that Laura hadn’t seen yet. Ok seriously, Malvin getting kicked off instead of Mitchell? Come on! You always have to choose creativity over crap even if isn’t great. At least Mitchell got kicked off the following week. Dude didn’t do anything to help his team.
I'm still not doing so great with taking pics. I borrowed Whitney's camera but ended up not really using it. I seriously have to replace mine and then we'll get some sweet ass action shots up in here.
